FAQ: WHAT IS AN UP-THE-ROLL FABRIC?
Fabric marked as UTR, or Up-The-Roll, refers to patterns in which the design is intended to be used as it is woven up the roll. The selvage, or side edges, will be on the left and right in this fabric direction.
FAQ: WHAT IS A RAILROADED FABRIC?
Fabric marked as RR, or Railroaded, refers to patterns in which the design is intended to be used by turning the fabric 90° on its side. The selvage edges will be on the top and bottom in this fabric orientation.
FABRIC YARDAGE ESTIMATES FOR UPHOLSTERY
These are general estimates based on 54" wide upholstery fabrics. We always recommend working with an upholstery professional to get the most accurate information on yardage required for your specific upholstery project.
